As an Intermountain Snowsports instructor and Board of Directors member
I am committed to:
1. Encourage and increase membership in PSIA/AASI.
2. Provide different training opportunities for members who are seeking certification and those who are long time members just wanting to keep current on training and teaching standards.
3. Get to know the instructors and directors at the member schools that I represent on the Board of Directors.
I also work as a ski/snowboard instructor. I currently have level ll ski, level l board, and
children’s level ll certifications. I have been working in the ski teaching profession at Kelly
Canyon for the past 23 years. This year marks my 20th year as a member of PSIA/AASI? I plan to
continue learning, teaching and honing my personal skills as a skier and snowboarder.
My other employment besides skiing, education and agriculture. I work as a school principal in
Fremont School District #215. I have earned my Education Specialist Degree in Education
Administration. I have a passion for teaching and helping others become great teachers. This not
only applies to my profession as an administrator, but, carries over to making the instructors I
get to work with and train the best at what they do and to love what they do.
I have taught in the middle school teaching Health, P.E., Literature, Earth Science for 16 years. I
have been an Elementary School Principal for the past 4 years at 3 different schools in the
district. I have enjoyed each experience. I also serve as the district test coordinator and Title
