Freestyle Certificates

Freestyle Certificate

The Intermountain Division offers Freestyle Certificates (FS1 and FS2) for members looking for training and verification in freestyle skiing and riding. These are multi-discipline certificates open to both alpine skiers and snowboarders. These programs are based on the PSIA-AASI Freestyle National Standards.

Completion of the Freestyle e-learning in your primary discipline (snowboard or alpine) is required for this event.

You must have an Alpine or Snowboard Level 1 certification to be eligible to take the Freestyle 1  assessment.

You must have an Alpine or Snowboard Level 2 certification or an FS1 certificate to be eligible to take the Freestyle 2 assessment.

Freestyle 1: A two day assessment based on the FS1 National Standards and fundamental skills. Day one is a prep day and day two is the assessment day. The Intro to Freestyle clinic or Freestyle Camp are strongly recommended before taking the assessment.

Freestyle 2: A three day assessment based on the FS2 National Standards and fundamental skills. Day one is a prep day and day two is the assessment day. A Freestyle prep clinic or Freestyle Camp are required before taking the assessment.

This course is a prerequisite to taking the Freestyle Accreditation; however, you do not need to take the accreditation if you choose not to. This clinic is an excellent entry into riding freestyle as well as an outstanding place to fine tune skills you already have.
