Intermountain Dev Team

The Intermountain Dev Team is the process through which PSIA-AASI Intermountain hires new DECLs.

Phase 1
– Step 1: L3 certified instructor and current Division Member, CS1 or FS1 required to attend
– Step 2: Attend Dev Team selection day in primary discipline 
– Step 3: Must achieve average score of 5 in discipline-specific technical skills  

Phase 2
– Step 4: Attend Dev Team training in primary discipline. Become IMD member if not already.
Attend multidiscipline people and skills training
Audit events (by discipline). Submit audit reports.
– Step 5: Job application (resume and statement of intent). CST is required for joining the CS staff. FS1 AND CS1 required for SB staff
– Step 6: Readiness assessment and Promotion
– Step 7: Complete employee onboarding and background check.

DECL Promotion Criteria

Ed Staff Promotion opportunities will be offered at least annually. A Dev Squad member has a maximum of 2 years to move to active DECL status. After 2 full seasons,  if an individual is still a Dev Squad member, they are required to requalify for the Devo Squad at a selection event. Conditional approval may be granted by Discipline Leadership and Executive Director if there is actionable  short term change they can improve before working an event.
