VOTE FOR THE BOARD!

Voting for the 2019 PSIA/AASI Intermountain Board of Directors election is now open!

In order for the Board to fairly represent its membership, it is very important for every member to make their voice heard and vote in the election. Five seats are available this year: three at-large seats, and one seat each for Region 3 (Ogden Nordic, Nordic Valley, Powder Mountain, and Snowbasin) and Region 4 (Eagle Point and Brian Head).

Candidate information and the online ballot are available on our website. Voting will be open through March 31, so make sure to get your vote in!

Lifetime Membership for the Kronthalers

The Lifetime Membership recognizes members who have contributed as a volunteer or exceptional leader to PSIA-AASI. Members are known and respected throughout the division and industry for their long-term service and contributions in education, publication, leadership and volunteerism. We are proud to announce that Nancy and Tom Kronthaler have been awarded lifetime membership this year.

Tom has been a Clinician and Examiner in Intermountain since 1975; he served as coach of its Alpine Education Team for more than a decade, served on the IMD board, and has selflessly mentored many instructors and fellow DECLs throughout that time.

Nancy served on IMD's board for thirteen years, six as Communications VP. Nancy has championed outreach to member schools, spearheaded our Spring Clinic silent auction which raises funds for member scholarships, and ceaselessly promoted Intermountain and PSIA/AASI to all. According to Nancy, this is a welcome recognition because, despite how much they both have given to IMD, she says "I live in a house of all kinds of medals none of which are mine!" Well, we want to say - we wouldn't be where we are as a division without both of your contributions!

Thank you Nancy and Tom!

Tom and Nancy will be honored at Spring Clinic in Sun Valley on April 13 - be there to join the celebration!

Member School Shout Out

Sun Valley joins the Intermountain Division

We are excited to announce our newest member school: Sun Valley. Known for its venerable ski history and almost guaranteed sunshine, Sun Valley also boasts 2154 slidable acres and 392 snowsports instructors! We can't wait to work with their clinicians to offer great educational events, and to welcome Sun Valley members to clinics and exams throughout the Intermountain division. Tony Parkhill, School Director, "is looking forward to our vast array of resources, geographical proximity, like kind members and resorts. I feel we are compatible in the professionalism of our pros and our management. IMD is a great fit for Sun Valley," he says.

Our first opportunity to work together will be Spring Clinic, so head on up to Sun Valley to welcome them into the IMD family.

Spring Clinic is at Sun Valley: April 12-14

We are excited to announce that this year, Spring Clinic will be held at Sun Valley, ID. For the first time ever, five divisions are joining together as hosts. The Spring get together has been a triennial tradition for Intermountain, Northern Intermountain and Northwest, with Central and Rocky Mountain joining this year. It's the time of the season we cheer for the winter sport we love and the nationwide community we have created. Members join with talented clinicians from across the country to slide, share and have fun. It's a great time to network and collaborate. On Saturday night we will recognize our award winners and anniversary-year members at a combined banquet.

We are anticipating over 300 participants, so jump online and register soon. Celebrate the successes of the season with members from across disciplines and divisions, and take advantage of the unique opportunity to check out the mountain of our newest Member School.

Show up, have fun and get inspired! Registration and other information (including discounted lodging) is available on our website.
