Park City to host Spring Clinic 2020

Spring Clinic will be at Park City this year, on April 3-5. We are pleased to be hosting the Central Division this year after the fun we had with multiple divisions last season at Sun Valley. Expect great clinics as always, and another fun party. Check back in mid-February to register.

The Education Scholarship Fund Needs You!

Each year at Spring Clinic, we hold a silent auction to raise money for Education Scholarships. We need help in acquiring donations to include in the auction. If you have any connections for gear or services, or you would like to donate something yourself, please contact the office. Help us to help your fellow instructors work toward certification!

Scholarship Spotlight

Joel Provencher

I applied the PSIA scholarship towards my Alpine Level 1 exam at Alta ski resort. This is my third season as a ski instructor and fifth season as a skier. I have been snowboarding for roughly 27 years.

I decided to work towards my Level 1 Alpine certification to hopefully improve my teaching and skiing ability. Overall, it was a great experience. Between the online preparation (manual and testing) and two days of on snow training/examination, I feel like I have become a better instructor and skier as a result. Additionally, there were several new skills and drills I learned and have added them to my teaching bag of tricks. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.

I used the money from the scholarship that I was awarded to pay for a Level 2 Alpine Highlighted Skills clinic at Park City. That clinic was a great way to get my "ski legs" back and to remind my body how to do the skills. By attending that clinic I was able to have questions answered and feedback given that will help me as I prepare for my Level 2 Exams again this year.
