The Intermountain Hall of Fame Reopens

Prior to the Board of Directors meeting, the Board celebrated the reopening of the PSIA-AASI Hall of Fame at the Alf Engen Ski Museum at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City. The Hall of Fame wall, remodeled by Unrivaled Design, now rivals the rest of the spectacular new displays throughout the museum.

Our new display highlights PSIA-AASI's work in the professional development of snowsports instructors and our vision of creating lifelong adventures through education. Drawings and biographies of instructors who have made significant contributions to the development of the Intermountain region are displayed along with historical PSIA and AASI pins. In addition, Unrivaled designed an interactive digital display with details of our history, mission, and members who have played instrumental roles.

Visit the museum and the Hall of Fame when you are next in Park City, and check out the livestream of founders Keith Lange and Clark Parkinson presiding over our opening celebration.

Intermountain Alpine Education Manager

After 12 years guiding Intermountain's alpine development and practice, Stephen Helfenbein has stepped down as our Alpine Education Manager. We are so grateful to Stephen for all of the work he has done for Intermountain and the National organization; we would not be where we are today without his dedication to improving PSIA-AASI Education. Stephen will continue to train Intermountain members and staff and he will stay involved at the National level as a National Team member, on task forces, and the ELC. Thank you Stephen, for your time, dedication, and expertise.

We are pleased to welcome Colleen Jamieson to the Alpine Education Manager Role. Colleen has been on our Education Staff since 2007. She started her ski journey in Montana, competing and racing through college at MSU, where she achieved a BS in Psychology and her PSIA Level 1. Wanting more from skiing, she moved to Winter Park, CO, where she trained hard and achieved her Level 2 and 3. A more full-time coaching role brought her to Park City, where she has spent the last 19 years crossing between coaching at Park City Ski Team, teaching and training at Park City, working five seasons with NZSki, and delivering clinics and exams with PSIA Intermountain. She worked for US Ski and Snowboard as the Women's Alpine Team Manager and just became the Ski and Snowboard School Training Manager at PCMR. When she's not skiing, you can find her in a garden or on a paddleboard. After all, it's all about Balance on and off the snow!
