Fall Rally at Woodward Park City

Registration for FALL RALLY 2022 is now open. This year Woodward Park City is hosting and we have an exciting array of activity zones and classroom education. Get a jumpstart on your education this season with topics sure to activate your body, provoke your interest and inspire your teaching. Fall Rally is mutlidiscipline and designed to build and celebrate our entire snowsports community!

You can choose any 4 topics by a range of presenters and coaches. This year’s topics include:

• Active sessions on the ramps, spring floor and tramps
• Tour Woodward and learn about off-season training opportunities
• Inline skating in the outdoor skate park
• A variety of presentations by our Ed Staff and National Team Members.
• Meet our new Alpine Education Manager

Scholarship Deadline

Did you know that IM provides scholarships? You can apply for The Mark Nakada Memorial Scholarship which provides support for CS education, or a general education scholarship to support your pursuit of certification. Scholarship deadlines are coming up, so apply soon: The deadline for IM scholarships is Nov 15.

There is also a scholarship to attend National Academy. Details of the Brett A. Chamberlain Memorial Scholarship are on the same page and the Deadline is December 3.

1930-2022

PSIA-AASI Intermountain is saddened by the passing of Gene Palmer.  Gene was on the board of directors for ISIA and then PSIA-AASI-I for over 20 years. During that time he served as president, technical director, education vice president, and examiner. Gene began his ski-teaching career at Idaho’s Kelly Canyon, taught at Eldora and then became involved with the early development of Grand Targhee Resort. He served as Grand Targhee’s mountain manager and ski school director, later shifting his focus to devote full-time efforts to the ski school. He remained in that position for 26 years, retiring in March 1995.

Gene was awarded Lifetime Member status by PSIA-AASI and PSIA-AASI Intermountain.
