The Discipline Managers are responsible for building and maintaining the curriculum of events and assessments that we offer in each of our Disciplines. They also manage the DECL teams which run those events.

Biography

Currently residing in Salt Lake City Utah, Eric teaches and conducts training at The Canyons Resort. Along with working for the PSIA-AASI Intermountain Education Staff, Eric follows his passion for coaching athletes as a Head Coach with Team Utah at Brighton Resort.

Eric is a big advocate for freestyle and creating a fun environment for learning snowboarding. He is known to come up with a creative approach to clinics and likes to leave all participants stoked about learning something new. Whether it’s a silly snowboard ground trick, coaching someone to throw spins in the park, or a clinic that creates new ways to teach  snowboarding, Eric is very passionate about snowboarding and it shows through his riding and enthusiastic words.

Why do you work in the ski industry? I like to work in an industry that brings me joy.

What else do you do besides skiing/snowboarding? Whitewater Rafting, Family Camping, Mountain Biking, Growing Vegetables

If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why? John Bonham was a drummer ahead of his time and helped evolve music into modern-day times.
