The Telemark DECL (Division Education and Clinic Leader) team is a group of highly trained instructors who are responsible for running the various Telemark clinics and assessments that the Division offers.
Samuel Palmatier
Biography
Sam resolved the mistake of his birthplace in 1972 and moved to Utah. After a brief stint with the Military as a Ski Patrolman in Garmisch, Germany, he began instructing with the Garmisch Ski School in 1977.
He started Cross Country Skiing when he realized it was faster to ski to work this way than driving. He returned to Sundance for the Winter Season of 77-78 and has remained since (minus a 3 year diversion with the Snowbird Ski Patrol)
Sam started the Sundance Nordic Center in 1989. It continues to be a work in progress….
